Youth homelessness is hidden.
You don’t see many homeless high school students spending the night on the street, because they do not want to be stigmatized. So instead, they couch surf, stay in shelters, and struggle to finish school.
But what if there are no shelters in your township, and you have to get up at 5am everyday just to make it to school because you are sleeping in a shelter in the next township?
This is the issue that’s facing Langley’s estimated 160 homeless youth in high school.
