Funds raised to help put an end to youth homelessness in Greater Victoria area.

Victoria, BC, July 8, 2015 – By purchasing a paper door for $2, in one of the two stores in the Greater Victoria area, The Home Depot customers generously supported the Threshold Housing Society in raising over $10,000 in 36 days, with the goal of putting an end to youth homelessness.

The Threshold Housing Society helps at-risk youth attain self-reliance through long-term supportive housing. The Society strives to ensure that at-risk youth have the opportunity to fulfill their potential.  Threshold will use one hundred per cent of donations to support housing and life-skills development programs.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of The Orange Door Project,” said Mark Muldoon, the Executive Director of Threshold. “The Home Depot Canada Foundation is our ally in putting an end to youth homelessness. As a local, non-profit organization, this partnership allows us to raise funds on a larger scale than what we could do on our own.”
