Threshold Housing Society is dedicated to preventing adult homelessness by providing safe housing, support services, and a sense of belonging to at-risk youth. Every day, we work to ensure young people have the stability and opportunities they need to build brighter futures.
We are seeking two to three passionate, community-minded individuals to join our volunteer Board of Directors. As a Director, you will help guide our strategic vision, strengthen our impact, and champion the needs of youth in our community.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from individuals with a range of professional backgrounds, lived experiences, identities, and community connections.
Threshold is committed to increasing representation and participation from:
Indigenous community members
2SLGBTQ+ individuals
Black, racialized, and other equity-deserving communities
Individuals with lived experience connected to housing insecurity, mental health, substance use, foster care, or other systems relevant to our mission
For this recruitment cycle, we are particularly seeking individuals with:
Financial, accounting, audit, or fiscal oversight expertise
Legal expertise
Housing development and construction expertise
Experience supporting organizational sustainability and growth
Non-profit governance experience
