We are able to accept securities as a donation and the process is quick and easy. Just print out our donation of securities form.

Donate Items

Although our units are furnished when youth arrive, there are special items that we occasionally need and some things that are always in demand. As THS doesn’t have a truck or van, and has limited storage, large items must include delivery to the unit location.

  • Flat screen TV’s, in excellent working order

  • Bath towels, hand towels & tea towels (new only)

  • Gifts cards to grocery stores, coffee shops, or activities

Turn Over A Car

Donate a Car Canada accepts vehicle donations on behalf of Threshold Housing Society. Free towing is provided in most areas across Canada, or you can drop off your vehicle to maximize your donation.

When you donate your car, truck, RV, boat, or motorcycle to Threshold Housing Society through Donate A Car Canada, it will either be recycled or sold at auction (depending on its condition, age and location). Donate a Car Canada will look after all the details to make it easy for Threshold Housing Society to benefit.

After your vehicle donation is complete, we will send you a tax receipt and will put your gift to good use.

  • When you make an online donation, your personal and credit card information is safely transmitted by secure connection to our payment provider Stripe. As soon as that transaction is complete, you should receive a confirmation by email and a receipt for tax credit. If you do not receive one, please check your junk mail folder or call us at 250-383-8830.

  • To change your mailing address, please call 250-383-8830 or email us with your new information.

  • If you need to cancel a payment or are having difficulties with your transaction, please call 250-383-8830 and we will be happy to assist you.

  • If you would like to set up monthly donations by automatic withdrawal, please email Sophia Seward sophia.s@thresholdhousing.ca

    To send a one-time electronic funds transfer through Interac by email,

    • Add Threshold Housing Society to your online banking Interac by email contacts list

    • Use the email address assist@thresholdhousing.ca

    • Enter the amount of your gift and the date for the transfer

    • PLEASE note “donation” in the note field along with your address so we can send you a tax receipt.

  • You can easily cancel or change your monthly donation by contacting our office.

  • Donation receipts will be sent via email when one is provided. If we only have mail addresses, one will be mailed within 2 business days of receipt. If you are looking for a receipt, please get in touch!

  • Donors who give online and provide an email address will receive their tax receipt as soon as the gift is processed. If you have given offline and require a tax receipt before the end of the year, please contact our office.
