Elishia Boyd

Director

Elishia grew up in Victoria and has lived experience shared by many clients of Threshold Housing Society. She believes strongly in the work that Threshold Housing Society does, first learning about the organization in 2019 when she purchased Tea Boxes from a coworker for the Shine A Light campaign. Elishia became a member of Threshold in 2020 and spent time volunteering in 2022-2023.

Elishia also co-founded an advocacy group at Royal Roads University focused on increasing support and reducing barriers for Former Youth in Care alumni pursuing post-secondary education. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Royal Roads University in 2024. As part of her degree, Elishia led an evaluative research project with former Threshold clients which led to program improvement and expansion for youth experiencing or at risk of homelessness. She is currently working in human resources while pursuing her CPHR designation and brings a wide range of skills to her work on the board. In her free time, she enjoys surfing, gardening, and spending time with her family.
