Christy Blanchard is currently the Manager of PKOLS Lelum at the base of PKOLS in Saanich. She Joined the Threshold Team in 2022 after 25 years of Nursing and has always been drawn to serving the most vulnerable populations. She is a fierce advocate for equity in systems that are under-serving the diverse needs and adversity that fellow humans face day to day. Which in return, has led her to focus for now over a decade on Intensive Case Management implementation into these communities and the lives affected. She is also known for filling the gaps in these systems through program development, implementation and evaluation at a provincial level. When not being of service to her community she can be found barefoot digging in the dirt growing a tomato or exploring a new spot on the map with her two Golden Retrievers at her side. Her life motto: When you do what you love, you never work a day in your life!
