  • Out of the Rain Youth Shelter

    Offers a warm, safe, and dry place to sleep for up to 15 young people ages 15–25. Two trained staff members are available to lend support with resources and referrals. A warm meal in the evening and a light breakfast the following morning are available.

    No sign-up is required. Spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

    Kiwanis Emergency Youth Shelter (KEYS)

    Provides a 10-bed emergency shelter for youth who are experiencing a crisis and seeking support services. KEYS offers services that include individual and family counselling, information on community resources, and referrals for support. Youth 16 years and under require the verbal consent of their legal guardian to access.

    Sandy Merriman House (Victoria Cool Aid Society)

    Emergency shelter for 25 women who are homeless. Welcome to trans women, gender fluid and non-binary people. Guests receive safe shelter, meals, laundry & showers, support, referrals, and advocacy, plus essentials including menstrual supplies, harm reduction and clothing.

    Victoria Women’s Transition House

    Safe and supportive accommodation for up to 30 days for women with or without children, who are currently experiencing intimate partner violence and abuse.

  • Victoria Native Friendship Centre (VNFC)

    Youth RAVE Drop-In

    Serves youth ages 12-18 years old. Offers structured programming that often challenges the youth to try something new, to learn something new, and get out of their comfort zone. We publish our activity calendars at the beginning of each month.

    In addition, we have monthly drop-ins for 2SLGBTQIA+ for youth and allies from 12-25 years of age.

    Sanctuary Youth Centre

    Provides a safe and supportive environment for at-risk youth. Operating five days a week, the drop-in program gives youth access to: hot meals, laundry, clothing and self-care supplies, showers, fresh and non-perishable food, and social activities.


    Free Wi-Fi, pool table, ping-pong, art and drawing supplies, guitars, and drums, and so much more. Pet friendly.

    A daytime drop-in centre. Youth receive support finding: emergency housing/shelter, drug and alcohol counselling/withdrawal management, mental health assessment/support, food/basic needs, drop-in facilities, individual/family counselling, life skills training, independent living support/transitional planning, linking/referrals, and outreach services.

    Services include meals, shower and laundry facilities, hygiene products, clothing, computer and TV access, Wi-Fi, and drop-in support.

    The Alliance Club is a safe and welcoming place for youth of all genders and identities.

    Substance

    We offer a free and confidential drug checking program in Victoria, British Columbia. Our team uses multiple drug checking instruments to determine a sample's main active ingredients, fillers or cutting agents, any unexpected drugs, and the presence of fentanyl. Results are given on the spot in as little as 30 minutes, with busier days having an estimated turnaround time of 1-2 hours.
