Cassie Doyle

Director

Cassie Doyle had a distinguished public service career as a deputy minister with both the province of BC and federal governments, all while holding true to the values honed through her early work in social housing with the City of Ottawa non-profit housing corporation. Cassie earned an MSW in Social Policy and Administration from Carleton University, and has extensive governance experience on boards of crown corporations and non-profit societies including as the Chair of BC Housing from 2017 through 2022 and currently as a director with the Fraser Basin Council, the Institute of Research in Public Policy and the Esquimalt Farmers Market. During her time at BC Housing, Cassie was a close colleague of the superstar youth homelessness advocate, the late Katherine McParland. Katherine’s passion for centring the voices of youth with lived experience and advocating for youth housing to address “the superhighway of homelessness” created by the foster care system in BC inspired Cassie to join Threshold’s board.
