There are many ways you can help provide brighter futures for youth. Whether its time as a volunteer, one-time or monthly donations, recycling days, goods and services, or social media support, our community and YOU are what makes our work possible.

Donate Your Car

Donate a Car Canada accepts Vehicle Donations for Threshold Housing Society. Free towing is provided in most areas across Canada, or you can drop off your vehicle to maximize your donation. When you donate your car, truck, RV, boat, or motorcycle to Threshold Housing Society through Donate A Car Canada, it will either be recycled or sold aauction (depending on its condition, age and location). Donate a Car Canada will look after all the details to make it easy for Threshold Housing Society to benefit. After your vehicle donation is complete, our charity will send you a tax receipt and will put your gift to good use. Please click here to donate a vehicle.

Volunteers

We are always looking for volunteers to help facilitate programming or at events. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please email assist@thresholdhousing.ca

Goods

Although our units come furnished, there are special items that we occasionally need and some things that are always in demand. As Threshold doesn’t have a truck or van, large items must include delivery to the unit location. Electronics must be in good working order.

Items not listed above (ie general household goods, furniture, electronics) please contact shannon.w@thresholdhousing.ca to find out if we could use it!

Host a Fundraiser

Help us spread awareness and fundraise for youth homelessness. If you are interested in hosting a third party fundraiser, please email our Director of Development Shannon Whissell at shannon.w@thresholdhousing.ca

Social Media Support

As a smaller non-profit, help with getting the word out about our work is a huge gift. Please follow us on Facebook,  Twitter, LInkedIn, and Instagram and then Like, Love, Share, and comment on our posts! Spreading awareness of the crisis of youth homelessness in Greater Victoria is one of the most important steps you can take.
